this year's connect team

Sophie Bacon (Okehampton)
Sophie Bacon (Okehampton) My name is Sophie Bacon and I'm currently studying Schools, Youth and Community Work with Centre for Youth Ministry. I will gain a degree JNC which will allow me to do youth work as a career. I am passionate about lots of things, mostly Christ and His impact on the universe and everyone in it. I love spending time with those I love, also I think it's great meeting new people and gaining as much experience as you can. I love travelling and I can't wait to see more of the world. So I'm in a new season of my life in which I have moved to Okehampton to work and serve the school community and surrounding area. I think its going to be a real challenge but with prayer and support I can't wait to see God's advancing.

Abi Packwood (Crediton)
Abi (Crediton) Hi! My name is Abi, I come from Guildford but have spent the last 3 years studying Geography in Aberystwyth. I love the countryside and the outdoors, so I think Devon is going to be a great place to live and work. I am looking forward to getting involved in the community of Crediton through the work that I will be doing in Queen Elizabeth Community College and youth groups around the town. My hope is to get alongside and support and encourage young people wherever they're at in their journey through life.

Kate Jefferson (Chulmleigh)
Kate Jefferson (Chulmleigh) I am married to Nick and we have 2 children, Amelia and Riley. We live just outside Chulmleigh in a shared farmhouse. I grew up in Devon and I was educated at Q.E.C.C. in Crediton as a boarder. When I left school I chose childcare as a career and was a nanny for 8 years. I have been working as a volunteer with young people in the church and youth club in Chulmleigh for over 3 years. I am very excited about continuing the work of Connect in Chulmleigh Community College and local youth groups. I hope that with the help of the Holy Spirit I can introduce more young people to a God that is real and cares about them.
